Thoughts From the (SeaTac Delta Sky Club on A) Coffee Table: I have been a Delta Sky Club member for as long as I can remember. Until last July when I let my membership lapse due to changing travel patterns. Today my hubby got me in, and I don’t want to leave.
His plane is heading to SLC, mine is delayed beyond belief due to storms. I decided to fly tomorrow instead, yet here I sit.
The staff here is amazing. The woman who rebooked my flights was a joy, even when she had to give me the bad news that I could be stuck here, or stuck in Detroit. Likely without a hotel.
The bartender gave the most professional advice on my hubby’s beer choice. He could have the “free” one included in his membership or upgrade for $4 for another. She gave him the description of their comparative “Hops” value. Fantastic!
Finally, the onsite Asanda Spa seems like one of the best business decisions ever. I could use 5k of my 300k Delta Air Lines miles for a facial! Imagine the impact on the bottom line for a few massages instead of more “free” flights?
I watch people go by, most business travelers, and some clearly agitated by flight delays. Sure, I had to reschedule 6 appointments for tomorrow. But the examples of excellence here right now are worth the layover.
