Shock Your Potential

Hop on the Bus!

Thoughts From the Coffee Table: When is what’s on the outside as important as what is on the inside?

I came across this beautifully ugly VW bus the other day. Immediately drawn to it, I envisioned the owner proudly driving it around the country, feeling footloose and fancy free. I really have no idea if I am right. I am just making an assumption.

I used to say that a messy desk was a sign of a brilliant mind. Mostly because I always have a messy desk. Yet I continue to try to change that, spending time on Sundays to organize again before a new week.

OK, that is a lie.

I WANT to do that. I always PLAN to do that. But I have only really done that about 5 times.

I have been thinking a great deal lately about my podcast with Debra Levy where we talked about creating space for the mental and the physical. Space where you find order and peace and structure in order to make your inside reality match your outside image.

So today I began my morning by organizing my desk. 1 data point does not make a habit but is a start. A reboot. An extra 5 gallons of mental gas, with a bicycle in case the day stalls me on the side of the road.

If I do nothing else today, at least my desk matches my desire to conquer the world. #shockyourpotential #secretshoppermichael #salesmixology #tellmemorebook #business #sales #marketing #inspiration #motivation #customerservice #podcast #podcasting #customerexperience #entrepreneur #leadership #linkedin #travel #retail #shopping #organization
