Thoughts From the Coffee Table: When is what’s on the outside as important as what is on the inside?
I came across this beautifully ugly VW bus the other day. Immediately drawn to it, I envisioned the owner proudly driving it around the country, feeling footloose and fancy free. I really have no idea if I am right. I am just making an assumption.
I used to say that a messy desk was a sign of a brilliant mind. Mostly because I always have a messy desk. Yet I continue to try to change that, spending time on Sundays to organize again before a new week.
OK, that is a lie.
I WANT to do that. I always PLAN to do that. But I have only really done that about 5 times.
I have been thinking a great deal lately about my podcast with Debra Levy
So today I began my morning by organizing my desk. 1 data point does not make a habit but is a start. A reboot. An extra 5 gallons of mental gas, with a bicycle in case the day stalls me on the side of the road.
If I do nothing else today, at least my desk matches my desire to conquer the world.
