Cocktail

Shaken, Not Stirred

Thoughts From the Coffee Table: We used to think that a good bartender is one who would listen to all of your problems. How depressing!

Then there was Tom Cruise in Cocktail from 1988, bottles flipping in a dramatic floor show guaranteed to bring in big tips and get the girl.

Today we judge a bartender on their skills, the quality of their creations and the experience we have, whether in an upscale cocktail lounge, a hopping happy hour or even in our favorite dive bar. We want it all.

This fall I will release my second book, on sales and the customer experience. A few characters from my first leadership book “Tell Me More” take us on a new journey. And this time I need your help.

“Sales Mixology” begins with an phenomenal customer experience alongside an amazing cocktail.  As a part of my launch plan, both the book and website will feature some of the best cocktail experiences around the world.

If you have had a great experience somewhere, please take a moment to tell me about it. Nominate a place and/or person and I just may add them to the list!

And if you feel that in order to make a good recommendation you must go back there this weekend to sample again, remember that we each make sacrifices for the good of the world. And for literature.
